HOW WELL DOES NATURAL TEAK AGE?
Teak is a natural wood product for outdoor use, however, when left untreated, teak weathers to a natural grey color. The weathered process depends on the climate, teak weathers more slowly in a dry climate as opposed to a moist climate. There are a variety of products for the treatment of teak, a teak cleaner and wax that will maintain the original teak color which can be obtained from boating or home improvement stores. You never want to completely seal teak as it needs to breathe because it’s a natural product.

WHAT IS A QUICK DRY FOAM CUSHION WITH SLING?
The majority of our cushions are made with air blown, reticulated, dry fast foam. An open-cell foam, dry fast is the most porous material of all varieties of cellular based interconnected foams. Dry fast foam is made up of large cells visible at a distance that allows the greatest amount of air and fluid movement thru the material. Unlike polyurethane foam which has a tiny cell structure, looks spongy, can hold large amounts of water resulting in waterlogged cushions that retain moisture and can hasten degradation as it rots, grows mold or mildew and bacteria, quick dry foam core with a sling cover provides the best drain thru system for areas with little or no maintenance.

A majority of our product frames are manufactured with aluminum extrusions which are powder coated in a variety of color finishes. Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form – no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) is released into the atmosphere. The coating is applied electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a “skin”. A powder coated finish is tougher than a conventional paint finish.
